Children's movie featured
The popular children's movie, "American Tail: Fievel Goes West," will be screened at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 15 in The Theatre at Washington, Va., the RAAC Sunday movie.
In "Fievel," Steven Spielberg sends viewers on another adventure. Together with numerous New York City mice, the Mousekowitzes are tricked into a crosscountry journey by the evil Cat R. Waul. Fievel encounters a couple of frolicking chases, a tarantula, a hawk, a variety of cats and Wylie Burp, an old canine marshal. Together with feline pal Tiger, they search for runaway Miss Kitty. Featuring the voices of John Cleese, Amy Irving, Dorn DeLuise and Jimmy Stewart.
Rated G. Tickets are $4 for adults, $3 for children.
Cajun music in Marshall
File, the Louisiana red hot Cajun band, will perform a special Friday the 13th dance at the Marshall Community Center, sponsored by the Bluemont Concert Series.
The dance-concert wi 11 be held at 7:30 p.m. March 13; there will be plenty of room for those who want to dance, as well as for those who want to simply watch and listen.
Tickets are $8 each; $5 for Bluemont Friends.
