Joan Platt and Frances Dodd talked about starting their own business for years.
With the dawn of 1992, their talk became action and the two friends opened Business Support Service in Warrenton.
Located on 9 North Third St., in Suite 100, Office A on the upper level, and sporting one of Warrenton’s new telephone exchanges— 703-341-4310, the two specialize in the printed word to the customer's desire.
Whether it’s resumes, birth announcements, wedding invitations, newletters, flyers, brochures, graphics with logos, checkbook reconciliations, typing forms, letters or papers, or just general correspondence, the tiny one-room office with two computers, one laser printer and two dedicated young professionals can oblige.
Using IBM and Macintosh computers that offer more than 70 styles of type, providing various paper qualities and forms, laser printing smoothness and professional guidance, the two “try to be personal with each client,” working to accommodate their schedules, desires and timeframes into the Anal project, said Ms. Platt, a Rappahannock resident.
“Our work can be customized to the client’s needs,” said Mrs. Dodd, a Warrenton resident and former government employee.
