Levi Campbell of Bentonville was a splendid court jester, Wamba. Again, passages from the book were used to illustrate this character who was not permitted to carry traditional weapons but rather only a wooden sword. Alex Achefer of Warrenton also portrayed the jester.
Other characters portrayed were Athelstane the descendant of the great Saxon kings. He was depicted by Van DeBergh and Scott Updike, both of Washington, Va. The lovely Rowena was portrayed by Katie Zindel of Amissville and Cara Speziale of Front Royal. Mary Beth Williams of Flint Hill was Robin of Locksley, better known as Robin Hood.
