Missionary at Hope Hill Hope Hill Baptist Church in Castleton will present special meetings with missionary Evangelist G.G. Edmunds and family from Norwich, Ohio. Evangelist Edmunds had pastored for over six years, was church music director for over three years and presently is doing the work of a missionary evangelist helping churches in the Great Appalachian Region. He has written books and recorded singing and preaching tapes which are offered at the meetings. Meetings will be held March 15-18. Sunday services are held at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m. and weeknights at 7:30 p.m. Pastor Milton Switzer invites the public to attend.

Lenten Ecumenical services The community Ecumenical Lenten Services continues this year, hosted by the Rappahannock Methodist charge, Reynolds Memorial Baptist, St. Peter's Roman Catholic, Trinity Episcopal and Washington Baptist Churches. There will be a covered dish supper at Trinity every Wednesday at 6:16 from March 11 to April 8. The program will follow at about 7 p.m. with nursery provided. The program this year will feature presentations by the participating clergy on Jesus’ words from the cross, as well as singing and prayer. “Please join us as we prepare through Lent for the great festival of Easter,” said a church spokesperson.
