• Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident on Feb. 23, according to Sgt. Adams. Jason Lynn Smoot, 24, of Front Royal, was operating a 1984 Ford four-door on Route 610, four-tenths of a mile west of Route 665, when he apparently drove off the left side of the road and hit an embankment, said Sgt. Adams.
Smoot and Joseph D. Wilkins Jr., 27, were both injured. Damage to the vehicle was estimated at $1,000.
Smoot was charged with failure to drive to the right of the highway by Trooper C. A. Moore.
