Another woman to trade in the paycheck for full-time motherhood is Angie la Van way of Flint Hill. A newcomer to the county and a new member of The Mothering Cooperative, Mrs. la Vanway left behind a position as executive director of the Rockingham Chamber of Commerce to be with her young son, Phillip.
Alter three months of maternity leave, Mrs. la Vanway said she liked the experience of being with her son and the “challenge of motherhood.”
She said she felt being at home with her son where she could offer one-on-one attention was better for his development and more agreeable for her.
