John Conway Perrygo, 22, was pulling from Route 231 onto U.S. 622 when he apparently pulled into the path of a 19&4 Ford, operated by Allison Dawn Woodward, 27, of Boston, Va., said Sgt. Adams.

Perrygo was charged by Trooper C.A. Moore with failure to yield the right-of-way. He was also injured.

Damage to the Ford was estimated at $2,500; damage to Perrygo’s 1988 Mazda was about $1,500.

• Larry Sutton, 54, of Washington, Va. was injured after his vehicle was run off the road at 1 p.m. March 6, according to Sgt. Morris.

Sutton was operating a 1990 Toyota northbound on Route 622, about a mile south of Route 628, when he rounded a curve and saw an oncoming vehicle in his lane, said Sgt. Morris. Sutton steered his car off the road to miss the other vehicle and hit a tree.
