To increase the odds that any fundraising will be successful, these three recruited Sperryville resident Brooke Fletcher, who has enjoyed significant success in fundraising for community projects.
Brooke’s involvement led to an open meeting, held at the high school on Sept. 27, “to discuss a funding partnership to support track and field facility improvements for Rappahannock County High School and the community.”
This kick-off meeting appeared to be a great success—a mixed group of students, educators, parents, and other community activists heard about and saw plans for the prospective facility, and engaged in discussions about the needs for and benefits of a new track and field.
