Paul Reisler’s “Song Ca’rfip Weekend in the Country” Will have a benefit even for those who do not wish to learn how to write songs. Paul and his guest instructors, Angela Kaset and Pat Pattison, will kick off the Song Camp weekend hy beguiling us with some world-class tunes at the Ki Theatre on Oct. 29.
Paul’s style and abilities are well known to us in Rappahannock. His music, variously described as eclectic, folk, or new age, is probably more appropriately left undefined, and simply enjoyed for the journey on which it takes the listener.
Angela Kaset’s Nashville orienmtion and soulful songs should both counter and blend well with Paul’s emotionpacked play. Her talent is reflected both in her recordings and in her recognition as SESAC’s 1997 Country Songwriter of the Year.
