Club meets once a month. The Adult Adviser for this club is Hazel Zinn-Day.

Other project areas in need of Adult Volunteer Leadership are the Electric Project and the Entomology Project. The children of our community have voiced an interest in these project areas. If you would like to volunteer a couple hours a month or bimonthly to provide leadership for one of these projects or any other project area you might be interested in, please call the Extension Office at 6753619.

Some exciting upcoming 4H activities include:

• The Sperryville Fall Apple Festival, Oct. 9 at the Sperryville Fire Department. 4-Her’s will have an exhibit of different farm show entries and information about the Rappahannock 4-H Program.

• 4-H Pickin’Party, Friday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m. at the Sperryville Fire Department. 4-H will be selling barbecue dinner platters and have a 50/50 raffle. Please gome out for a wopderfijJ evening of . musical entertainment.

• 4-H numbers will also be soiling candles and candy items in October, so please support 4-H by purchasing -an item from one of the members.

Some of the workshops that have been offered through 4-H are:

• Beginning quilting

• Super Sitters, a babysitting training course

• Ready, Set, Grow, taught by Rappahannock County Master Gardeners
