Amy Gale Grigsby and Brian Lee Dodson were united in marriage on Saturday, Sept. 18 at Reynolds Memorial Baptist Church in Sperryville.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Grigsby of Sperryville. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Meryvn Chaffee of Washington and Diane Grigsby and Minor Dodson of Sperryville and the late Charlie Grigsby.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Billy Dodson of Sperryville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Atkins and Mrs. Eva Dodson of Sperryville and the late Ollie Dodson.
The 4 p.m. double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Jon Heddleston of Sperryville.
Prelude music was performed on the organ by Ms. Kathy Deal.
Mrs. Sherri Burfield of Sperryville was the soloist, singing “Wing Beneath My Wings” and “From this Moment On.”
Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a white formal length satin gown by Eden.
The short sleeve gown featured a sheer overlay with an empire waistline that was accented with pearls and lace.
The white waist length veil featured a tiara with pearls and sequins.
She carried a cascading bouquet of orchids and white roses accented with pearls, ribbon, baby’s breath and ivy.
The bride chose her sister, Miss Stephanie Grigsby of Sperryville to serve as maid of honor. She wore a lavender gown and carried a bouquet similar to the bride’s.
