BY HAZEL ZINN-DAY 4-H Program SupportTechnician, Senior The Rappahannock County 4-H program is growing, and we are very excited! Many wonderful opportunities are offered through 4-H. Camps, monthly club meetings, workshops, field trips, the Culpeper-MadisonRappahannock Farm Show, State Fair, and the Share the Fun Talent Show ar£ just a few of those opportunities.
Two exciting camps are being offered this fall. The first is a Junior Caving Trip, Nov. 5-7 for children ages 9-12 years. The second is a Cloverbud Camp for children ages 7-8 years, Nov. 19-21. The theme of this weekend is the “Countdown to the Millennium.” There are a wonderful variety of 4-H clubs that meet monthly. They are as follows: • The Rappahannock 4-H Dairy Goat Club meets the first Monday of the month, 7 p.m. at the Extension Office. The Adult Volunteer Leader is Sue Garvin. • 4-H Cooking and Crafts Club meets the first Wednesday of the month after school in the Extension Office. The Adult Volunteer Leader is Vickie Miller. • 4-H Woodworking is a new club this year and will meet after school in the
