Hello to all Amissvillians!
I am going to be your new community news writer. I hope I do as good a job as my predecessor.
Most of you know my husband of five years Gary (Bubba) Hitt, from his younger days at Hackley’s Mall. We live in downtown Amissville on 211.
We have three children, Amber age 9 and twin boys Evan and Dylan four years old. We are members of Amissville Baptist Church. So enough about my family let’s find out what’s going on in Amissville for the month of October.
First up congratulations are in order for native Glen Drone and Grey Wolf for being the 1999 state champions in the country band category. (Hen and his band also took first and second place in male vocals and first place lead guitar. We now have a celebrity in our midst!
Congratulations also to Melody and Caroll Ray Settle for their twins turned 18 on Monday, Oct. 4. Michael and Daniel Settle are seniors at Rappahannock High School.
This year Michael should break a 1,000 point basketball season. Way to go Mike!
