Another community project that needs your help is the Amissville Ruritans. The building that was burned down is still not finished. The Ruritans need financial as well as physical help to complete this much used facility.
The Ruritans meet the third Thursday of every month. This month’s meeting is Oct. 21, “Ladies Night.” To join this worthwhile group contact Charlie Mills or Verhon DeLong. Get involved and help our community.
On a serious note October is Breast Cancer awareness month. I urge all women age 35 and older to get a mammogram. I am having my very first on Oct. 5, wish me luck.
