No. As I understand the intent of the voucher system, it would only draw monies generated from existing public education. I thought this proposal was put to a vote and failed. I feel it would leave public education in the rear view mirror. I understand nationally 1 out of 3 students are now in private school. The average price for private schooling in Rappahannock is less than our public school. The cost for state college is averaging under the same cost for our public education in Rappahannock. The voucher system would only hurt the county education system.

I would not support a voucher system! Our county has limited resources. I do not wish to siphon crucial funds from our public schools, that serve all children to provide elective education for a select few. If the State is interested in providing a voucher system let it take the money from its General Fund.

No, I do not support vouchers as I have heard them proposed; however, I do support tuition tax credits because I am for quality education for all students regardless of their learning styles and needs.
