• WCDS will once again have a booth at the upcoming Festival of Leaves, in Front Royal. The festival will be held on Oct. 9 on Main and Chester Streets and starts at 9 a.m., We hope to see you there! ,,,
• Mrs. Kim Shafran and Mrs. Kathy Nilan, along with some helpful parents, took their preschool through kindergarten students to Lee’s Apple Orchard on a recent field trip. Upon their return to the school with the apples they had picked, the children made apple dumplings to bring home. Yum!
• Come out and support our teams! Upcoming games are as follows: Boys soccer on Oct. 8 at 4:30 at home against Seton and Oct. 12 at Woodberry Forest at 4 p.m.; Girls volleyball on Oct. 8 at Seton and Oct. 13 at Wakefield, the Plains; and Cross Country on Oct. 14 at 4 p.m. at Quantico.
