Rudolph Joseph “Rudy” Sosna, 56, of Amissville died Wednesday, Sept. 29 at Fauquier Hospital.
He was bom Feb. 7, 1943 at Bryn Mawr, Pa.
He was predeceased by his parents, Rudolph Joseph Sosna and Mary Christine Sosna.
Funeral services were conducted Friday, Oct. 1 at Moser Funeral Home in Warrenton by Father Mike Bazan. Burial was in Hillcrest Memory Gardens at Jeffersonton.
Rudy had a long and courageous fight with caner. He was a life member of the Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Company. He served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1968. He was a construction inspector for Fairfax County before he retired.
Survivors include a daughter, Christine Lorraine Miller of Williamsburg; a son, R.J. Sosna IV of Amissville, a sister, Sandra Yantz of Yardley, Pa. and a granddaughter, Brigette Nicole Miller of Williamsburg; several nieces and nephews.
