The 50’s were celebrated last week at Rappahannock County High School and among the activities was a dance in the parking lot. In a lead photo, Waldron O’Connor, an instructor, gives Kathy Dwyer a whirl. Mrs. T.J. Pillar of Sperryville and Mrs. Charles Albright of Washington will demonstrate spinning at the fourth annual Wool Fair at Chester Farms in Gordonsville on May 2. The fair continues through the 4th with many exhibits, including shearing, carding, spinning, knitting, and all phases of the wool trade. Cub Scouts did their part Saturday during clean-up of the countryside. The group which harvested a good crop of cans, bottles and even a discarded suitcase included Kevin Harrison, Bobby Baines, Marc Streagle, Eric Bear, Gary James and Richey Eastham. Offerings at Panorama Realty in Sperryville included: a one bedroom frame home at Castleton on one-half acre and three outbuildings for $12,000; Also: 175 years of history are behind this three bedroom stucco home centrally located in Washington. The house features four fireplaces, one and one-half baths, living and dining rooms, kitchen and basement for only $55,600.
