I feel people who are against the expansion of the school and it’s location, might as well say that they are against the school as a whole. Why does it matter where the school is located, it is educating the future of this county and this country. If it a question of inadequate roads or safety and whether we want to put a child’s life in danger by traveling these roads twice a day-the Rappahannock County School buses travel those same roads twice a day. Why is it all right for them to travel the roads but not Hearthstone?

I write this letter in support of Hearthstone as a school, for the children who attend this school, the teachers at the school, for the future of education and not for the Maazels. I think that it is evident that people need to put their priorities in order. Does it really matter that the person who supports this school is a rich landowner? Is it really about safety, the environment or traffic? In reality safety, the environment, and traffic can be brought to some kind of compromise.

We have to think about the future and that future is our children.
