Helen Louise Richards, 77, of Shenandoah died on Tuesday, April 4 at Camelot Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was bom on June 9, 1922 in Shenandoah and was a daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle Turner Comer.
Mrs. Richards was a member of the Oak Grove United Methodist Church near Shenandoah. She was a dispatcher for the Yellow Cab Company in Arlington and was a telephone operator for Capital Hilton in Washington, D.C. before retiring in March 1981.
She was also a member of the Primetimers Club in Shenandoah.
Her husband, Eugene F. Richards predeceased her in death.
She was the last surviving member of her immediate family and is survived by her children, Eugene Richards of Amissville, Jimmy Richards of Virginia, Frances DiGovanni of Shenandoah and Brenda Flynn of Pennsylvania; nine grandchildren and 13 greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were conducted April 8 at the Kyger Funeral Home in Shenandoah by the Rev. Hannah Glisson.
