The inspiration of hearing other people’s stories and sharing your own stories at each session reinforces each person’s individual style and voice. These repeated opportunities to share stories and get supportive feedback certainly stimulate each person’s ability to remember, imagine and write stories. When the workshop ends, participants can expect to have completed a body of autobiographical stories and have the skills and tools to continue writing on their own.”
Julie Portman is the author of three plays based on the lives of members of her family. She has just opened a new play, Three Roses, which will tour nationally. Participants in “Creating Your Autobio-graphy” register for both weekends. The cost is $380.
