Tennis anyone ?
Anyone with an interest in learning about tennis or dusting off and improving their skills might want to consider lessons from Rappahannock County resident Hunt Harris, who will be offering instruction this spring, summer and fall in group as well as individual formats. There will be a free opportunity to hit with Hunt to determine your level of play and get some quick pointers on Saturday morning, April 22 at the Rappahannock County Park from 9 to 11 a.m. After that, classes will begin forming according to skill levels and times available for instructor and instructees. • Saturday, April 29, “Women’s Hike Series.” Destination: White Oak Canyon. Details: Meet at Mountainside Market in Sperryville between 8:30-9 a.m. or at parking lot off Route 600 by 9:30 a.m. Bring food and liquid for self and layered clothing. • Saturday, May 13, “Second Saturday Hike Series.” ; Destination: Little Devil’s Stairs (along headwaters of Covington > and Piney Rivers in central Rappahannock River watershed). I Details: Meet at Mountainside Market, 987-9100 on U.S. 211 ’ west of Sperryville between 8-8:30 a.m. and caravan from there to trail head. Return mid-to-late afternoon. Spaghetti dinner planned \
A benefit spaghetti dinner will be held on Saturday, April 29 ' from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the Washington fire hall. The all-you-can- ! eat dinner is sponsored by Benny Lee Atkins Relay for Life Team ! and all proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society. Cost ; is $8 for adults; $4 for children four to 12 and children under four > will eat for free. There will be door prizes, a silent auction and ■ entertainment.
