Hometown: Amissville Accomplishments: Andrew is an Active and outgoing young man who has been involved in fundraising for charities and good causes for many years. He lives near Amissville with his parents, Kaye and Rick Kohler. He is 11 years old. Andrew started his fundraising with the Cub Scout Pack 123. He ! was one of the top fund raisers in his Pack over the years, selling Trail’s End Popcorn to help fund Pack activities. His favorite was the chocolate covered caramel com. In recent years, Andrew has participated in two kick-a-thons at the Front Royal Karate Club. Last year he won first prize for raising over $380 to benefit United Way. This year he raised over $340 to help another child in the karate club pay for a spinal operation. Andrew ajso formed the Trash Vultures from Mars with two friends. The Trash Vultures won first prize in the inaugural Trash Free Rappahannock campaign for picking up the most trash (94 * * bags plus numerous tires, small appliances and other assorted junk) along Rappahannock’s roads. Andrew is a student in the fifth grade at Rappahannock Elementary. He plays trumpet in the fifth grade band and participates in many different sports, his favorites being soccer, karate and baseball. He enjoys math and science as well as art and creative writing. Andrew enjoys making friends and gets along with older children (adults) as well as younger. He likes tovheip people and is quick ~ to take up the cause for a friend.
