However, in the spirit of bipartisanship, I would support a compromise in which we meet each other half way. I would support a moratorium on capital punishment (reserved for the most egregious cases of cold blooded murder) in return for a moratorium on the murder of innocent babies (whose only crime is that they have not yet been bom.)
Another issue where bipartisanship should be sought is welfare. I believe that both parties agree that we need to make sure that our society is doing the best it can to take care of people who are unable to take care of themselves.
The difference, it seems to me, is that Republicans believe that this is the business of private charities while Democrats believe it is the business of the government. If we would agree to put aside our differences and work together to achieve the goal, I think
