Once again our favorite auctioneer, Bill Payne, will entertain, stimulate and sell almost anything, for whatever you are willing to bid for and ready to carry home. You’ll think you got a bargain and the whole community will profit from your contributions and your attendance at the annual Lion Auction.
Please, take an inventory of your basements, bams and attics and give us whatever you know you no longer need or are tired of looking at or have forgotten where you got it or why you’ve kept it so long. The Rappahannock Lions will make good use of it. We’ll give you a tax deduction receipt, always good at the IRS.
Your local Lions must have been doing something right. We are one of the few clubs in Virginia that hasn’t been losing members. We’ve gained.
Our two most recent inductees were both born, raised and schooled in Rappahannock County. On March 8 at our regular meeting we welcomed new Lion Cubs, Lion C.E. “Skip” Giles and Lion Dr. Walter B. Kilby. Lion Bob Darby “swore” them in, pinned them and handed them their yellow Lion hats. Welcome aboard!
