arranging for the Lions Eye/Ear van to be scheduled, coordinating with the schools and supported very well by Lion wife Roberta and a team of volunteer Lion technicians.
This year the Eye/Ear van will serve the elementary school for three days in March: Wednesday, March 21 and Thursday and Friday, March 22 and 23. The high school students will be given eye/ear examinations on Monday, March 26 and Tuesday, March 27.
Your support and generosity has permitted our Lions Club to contribute to the operation and upkeep of the eye/ear vans and the many other programs that help the community.
The support of sports programs and approved facilities, the annual Bland music cash prizes, scholarships to individuals and 4-H sponsored events among others.
One hundred percent of your individual and organizational contributions to our programs is returned to fund carefully identified needs of our county’s families and neighbors.
So, each year we hold some fund raising activities. One of the most important to our program budget is the annual Lion Auction, always held at the Washington Volunteer Fire Hall. This year’s date is Saturday, May
