Ethnic changes
In percentage of growth, Rappahannock, at 15.7 percent, ranked third in the region, and 68 in the state (out of 135 jurisdictions).

The 2000 Census reports 6,678 whites, compared to 6,105 in 1990, an increase of 573 or 9.4 percent.
