Three years ago James Drahan opened the ice cream store “U-Wanna-I Scream” in the old Griffinsburg Store; owned and run by the late Yates family. Mr. Drahan is assisted by June Szeider. After five years, two at their location in Winston, they now serve food and coffees.

Besides barbecue, breakfast foods and sandwiches, such as veggie-burgers and flame boiled burgers, which make meat eater’s mouth’s water, soups are also on the menu and everyday they have specials which are homemade. Their coffee is specially roasted and comes from the Central Coffee Roasters, located on West 211 in Sperryville.

This is not all, for they do catering and in the future plan to have private parties. The owners say surrounding communities have been good, and they plan to continue to upgrade their food. The store is open from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m., and should you need more information please call 547-3281.
