“We have a couple of guys coming back that are pretty good. They have pretty good leadership skills as well and I think they’ll help carry the team along,” he said.
However, while some members are veterans, for many this will be their first season.
“There’s going to be a lot of new people. We have to start over. We need to start from the bottom and work our way up,” he said.
And in the face of such diverse level of skill, Thomas has created diverse goals which address both the team and the individual runners.
“I don’t want to set my goals too high but hopefully, I would like to see them place in the top three in the district, both boys and girls, and I would like to have at least one of our boys make it to states,” he said. “But* basically, we
