Your local telephone company in Virginia charges AT&T to carry your in-state Tong distance and local toll calls over its lines. To help recover this cost, AT&T will begin to include in your monthly bill a $1.95 In-State Connection Fee, starting September 1, 2003. The fee does not apply to customers on AT&T Virginia Local Service and the AT&T Long Distance Lifeline Program.
