Tiffany Keys, a 1998 RCHS graduate who currently teaches at Rappahannock County Elementary School, managed to find a studio apartment in the county. She said however that it provided inadequate space.
For the time being she has decided to remain at home with her family in Woodville, and has all but given up on finding a rental property in the area.
“I really don’t want to leave the county,” she said, “so I’m just holding on until I can save some money and buy either a house or land in the county.”
Single-family homes however would appear to be in abundance. The 2000 U. S. Census data shows that one in four homes in the county, excluding those used solely for weekend and vacation residences, are inhabited by renters.
