"The CREP program has assisted us in greatly upgrading our water resources and fencing. I believe our carrying capacity is as great today as it was before with 130 less acres. And there have been many unexpected improvements in our management system.
"We practice a modified management intensive grazing and thus move cattle often and all over our farm," he said.
"The livestock walkways through the CREP areas have made this very easy and they also act as simple working pens as we sort out animals, so now we have five or six places throughout the farm where we can sort in a non-stress way, where before we had to move the herd to the traditional working pens, which are a long distance from some of our fields," said Miller. ^
