Yes Rappahannock, there is something to do on Friday nights.
Instead of staying home or driving 30 minutes to Warrenton or Culpeper, it is possible to watch a movie and even buy popcorn right here in Little Washington, every first and third Friday of the month.
These films are shown at The Theater at Little Washington on Gay Street, which is owned by Wendy Weinberg. They are sponsored by the Rappahannock Association for Arts in the Community (RAAC).
Tb maintain the quality of films it shows, RAAC president Amy Sloane Timbers said RAAC has decided to begin raising funds for a new digital projector.
Timbers said the organization hopes to get a discount due to its nonKfit
status which will enable them to
p costs below $10,000.
The current projector requires 16mm film, she said. This presents a problem when attempting to acquire movies.
