Grammy award-winning pianist Lambert Orkis, fortepiano, and Philadelphia Orchestra violinist Lisa-Beth Lambert play the final concert in their three-concert series to include all 16 Mozart Sonatas for piano and violin. Written between 1778 and 1788, these works challenge the virtuosity of both performers and reward the listener with some of the most memorable moments of this brilliant composer’s music.

The six-piece band, “Federal Jazz Commission,” specializes in classic jazz as it was performed by various small bands in the 1920s, particularly those of King Oliver, Jelly Roll Morton arid Louis Armstrong. Since its inception in 1976, the FJC has performed for virtually every major institution in the national capital area. Scrupulously apolitical, the FJC has been heard at the White House, Congress, Supreme Court, Smithsonian Institution and at the Kennedy Center and foreign embassies. The repertoire includes rags, stomps, marches, blues, cakewalks, hymns, fox trots and onesteps.
