“As far as what stunts we are able to do, they give us a little bit of an advantage. If they can't get the technique down though, then he could be Hercules and not do me any good,” Pullin said.
In order to master the necessary techniques the sideline team puts in three and half hours of practice a day Monday through Thursday The competition squad practices an additional six and a half hours every Saturday.
Pullin has hopes this will pay off
“I’m really, really excited this year. We have a tremendous amount of talent for both teams."
She said her goal for the season is to place at the district competition which takes place Nov. 8 and to take her team to four competitions.
“We want to be winners,” said cheer team member Corey Voorhies.
Pullin says the only weakness she foresees for the team is their movements, explaining that they need to be much tighter and more well-defined.
Overall however she has high hopes that her new team will cheer not only the football team, but also themselves, onto victory season.
