This group, she said, was not a structured organization but an informal linking of families who would gather their children for these outings as well as occasional trips to other venues such as the Kennedy Center, in Washington D.C.
But not all of these children were benefiting from this educational method, Morgan said.
“I think there were some children who in the name of home-schooling were missing an adequate education. There are some children who should be in a traditional school,” she said.
She said it is important to keep the individual’s needs in mind and not assume one form of education is always better or worse.
