Maintains operation of disposal area of local government-owned Solid Waste Management Facility. Grades and compacts refuse with 60-ton compactor. Operates articulated truck, track loader, and sheep's foot compactor. Directs customer and traffic within and around the disposal area Screens waste for materials to be removed from disposal area Picks up windblown trash. Hauls dirt, vegetative waste, mulch, rubble, tires and gravel within facility. Performs daily maintenance on heavy equipment, must be available for rotating schedule of Mon-Fri and Tue-Sat from 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Uniforms and safety shoes provided. Requires High School diploma and a minimum of 2 years, experience as a heavy equipment operator. Bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Must have the physical ability to routinely lift 70 be. Single site; must be available for rotating schedule of Mon-Fri and Tues-Sat from 7:30AM to 5:00 PM. Uniforms and safety shoes provided. Requires High School Diploma and 2 years related experience.
