Taste of Rappahannock
The fifth annual Taste of Rappahannock fundraising dinner for Headwaters will take place on Saturday, Sept. 13 at The Belle Meade Schoolhouse in Sperryville with a lilve auction between 6 and 7 p.m. during the pre-dinner reception. Tickets are $125 per person. For reservations call Headwaters at (540) 675-1819. Seating is limited, attire is country casual.
Grigsby family reunion

The Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection will sponsor “An Astronomical Event" on Sunday, Aug. 31 at the Washington Fire Hall at 8:30 p.m. Mars is only 145 times the distance to the moon from earth and you may want to get a good look at it. The next time this planet will be as close is 284 years from now. This is a family event. Light refreshments will be served. Binoculars and telescopes will be available. The Second Annual Rappahannock County Flea Market will be held on Saturday, Aug. 30 from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Washington Fire Hall. The event is sponsored by the Rappahannock County Democratic Committee.
