Kenneth Shetley

Amissville resident

Kenneth Shetley, 76, of Amissville died Aug. 14 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.

Mr. Shetley was born June 9, 1927 in Madison, N.C.

He was a veteran of World War I and the Korean War. He retired after many years as a construction superintendent and contractor and was also a farmer.

Mr. Shetley is survived by his wife, Barbara R. Shetley and a daughter, Patsy Shetley of Seattle, Wash, one son, Vernon Shetley of Cambridge, Mass., one step-daughter, Barbara Lynn Brown of Amissville and one step-son, James Lynn Brown Jr. of Amissville.

Additional survivors include one sister, Doris King of Gainesville, one brother, Franklin Shetley of Inwood, W. Va. and one grandchild, Justin Lynn Brown.

A graveside service was held Aug. 19 at Gainesville United Methodist Church cemetery.
