Musterman, who is ranked first in the state at 145-pounds, major-decisioned Allen 7-0 and went on to place first in the region.
In Consolation-finals, Allen faced Chatham’s Byrd again, this time major-decisioning him. 8-0 for the third-place victory.
Placing third in the 152pound weight class, Raney entered the tournament with a 28-7 record on the season.
In the first round of competition, Raney pinned Buffalo Gap’s Chris Coyner in 3:12.
The semi-final round had Raney bracketed against George Mason’s Willie Hoover, with Raney loosing by a majordecision, 12-0, sending him to the consolation bracket to work his way back to being a statequalifier.
Hoover went on to place first in the region.
