Kyra F. Howell

Four months ago the couple was blessed with the birth of a son, Mason.

For Howell, having a law office in Sperryville is perfect for being a new mother as it is equipped with a play area for Mason on those days when no appointments are scheduled.

Howell was quick to point out that, “My husband also helps out. He is a lobbyist in Reston and has Thursdays off, so he spends those days with Mason.”

The law practice

Howell will be expanding her expertise, now entering into general practice which includes wills and trusts, domestic cases, civil litigation, real estate transactions and whatever the community needs.

While this attorney took a lot of criminal and business law courses at Fordham Law School in New York, she is finding it exciting and interesting to study general civil law more in depth.

“I have to commend the Virginia Bar,” she said, “they are fantastic in preparing attorneys toward being a solo practitioner. I really enjoyed taking the bar exam again.”
