Both Mushabac and Paddleford teach music—Mushabac teaches cello at the Baldwin-Wallace College Conservatory of Music in Cleveland, Ohio while Paddleford teaches piano at St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn.

The concert

On Saturday, March 5, the concert will feature the Sonata in D Major for violin and piano by Franz Schubert, transcribed for cello by Mushabac, variations on a Theme of Paganini by Gregor Piatigorsky and three short works by David Popper.

“These pieces all have audience appeal,” Mushabac said, “it is truly a fancy finger workout for a cellist and a pianist.”

Mushabac has been involved with contemporary' music, working with composers and transcribing many of Schubert’s works for the cello.
