A second workshop in an ongoing series of support and training workshops will be held March 12, 2005.
“Are You Ready to Raise Money?” will address the issue of the need for all groups to have an Annual Plan as well as beginning the process of Strategic Planning in order to ensure fund raising success.
A workshop entitled “Fund Raising 101...Beyond the Bake Sale” was held in October of last year and attended by over 35 guests. Through evaluation and feedback questionnaires distributed at that time, participants from local non profit groups identified the need to learn more about Annual Planning and developing long range Strategic Plans.
The interim Board of Directors of the newly formed Rappahannock Non Profit Center met last month to hold its own first official Annual Planning Meeting. A draft of a Mission and Vision Statement were created as well as a plan for programs to be offered to our community in 2005.
One project is the Directory of Rappahannock Non Profits which will list all non profits in the county who responded to a questionnaire mailed to over 150 groups last summer. That publication will be ready for distribution in mid April of this
