We offer our congratulations to Jenny Dellinger upon being selected as the first place winner in the recent Washington birthday, Art and Writing Contest which was sponsored by the Rappahannock County Library. Jenny is a fourth grade student at Rappahannock Elementary School and resides with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Dellinger, on Scrabble Road here in Boston.
Mrs. Janet Peregory has returned to her home on Castleton Ford Road, after a week’s stay in Fauquier Hospital and is greatly improved.
We’d like to make a correction concerning the recent activities or any forthcoming, Rev. Sandy Martin, has retired as pastor of New Salem Baptist Church, here on Rt. 522 and Rev. David Small is their interim pastor.
Our prayers go out to Mr. Joe Powers, our Boston mail carrier for many years and retired, who recently underwent surgery.

At the recent Valentine Day program at Black Oak Church, Mrs. Rosie Wharton of Aaron Mountain Road was selected as princess, with Harvey Tharp as Prince. For the Queen to serve a year, Hazel Delph was chosen and J. T. Dodson chosen as King. Each member of the court
