The interim board is currently in the process of applying for 501-C-3 Tax Exempt Status from the IRS.
The idea for this group was hatched when local volunteers from various organizations began to meet last year to discuss the idea of a support center which would help strengthen all of our local non profit groups by helping improve management practices, fund raising efforts, development of boards and other issues crucial to the success of any non profit organization. An open "Town Forum” attended by over 60 people was held last January at the Library.
