tion—18 in all—was such appetizing fare as Moussaka (donated by Touchstone Farm and prepared by the Gay Street Inn), Sesame Crusted Salmon with Cucumber Noodles (Flint Hill Public House), Grilled Organic Chicken with Peach Salsa (donated by Sunnyside Farm and Williams Orchard and prepared by Tom and Lisa Pendleton), and BBQ Ribs (Thornton River Grille). Popular side dishes abounded as well, such as Roasted Asparagus with Lemon Vinaigrette (donated and prepared by Epicurious Cow), Heirloom Tomato Salad with Basil Vinaigrette (Goat Hill Farm), and Garlic Mashed Potatoes (Griffin Tavern).

Desserts were abundant and delicious, too, and included Apple Blackberry Crisp, Blueberry Lemon Curd Tarts, Brownies, and Bread Pudding—all prepared or donated by the RCHS Culinary Arts Class, Apple Hill Bakery, Thornton River Grille, Moore’s Orchard, and Goat Hill Farm.

Record-setting auction

A highlight of each “Taste” event is an auction of highly desirable “wish list” items, including trips, shopping sprees, stays in fine B&Bs, and a celebrity dinner.
