The University of Virginia will welcome Virginia students from those colleges and universities which are now closed due to Hurricane Katrina. They will enroll Virginia residents from those institutions and make every attempt to register them in the classes they need. They will be treated as visiting students and non-degree students. Housing will be provided in University facilities.
