Portion of the proceeds to
benefit Hurricane relief
Artist Diana Johnson will have her work on display Saturday, Sept. 17 at 3 p.m. in the Highland School Center for the Arts Gallery. A portion of the proceeds from the show will go to benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
Both sculpture and paintings will be on display during the show. Johnson’s work has been displayed at Tiffany & Co. and Hermes of Paris, and was also featured at SOFA’s Glass Gallery exhibit in Chicago.
Johnson was born and educated in Australia and now resides in the United States. '
She has had extensive fine arts and design training, and also taught art history and art appreciation at Barstow College in Japan. Between 1988-1995 she initiated and taught ah the sculpture courses in figure, portrait and bas-relief for the Resident Associate Program of the Smithsonian Institute.
