CERTIFIED CHILDBIRTH
EDUCATOR Conducts MCH classes, ensures all regulations and documentation are met, performs, administrative tasks and maintains supplies and equipment. Must be a graduate of a professionally recognized Childbirth Educator Program tICEA, Bradley. CHBE preferred) and currently licensed LPN. RN. CNM, RPT or a graduate of a recognized institute of higher education who has been awarded a baccalaureate degree (or its foreign equivalent). The ideal candidate will have documentation of a minimum of one year prepared childbirth education instruction experience or at least 50 instructional hours within the last 5 years and documentation of 10 contact hours of continuing education within the last vear. Must be w illing to obtain LCCE status through Lamaze International within one year of hire date. Enthusiasm, excellent organizational, public speaking, communication, teaching and group dynamic skills are required. Program planning and evaluation experience helpful.
