Tfajmuiiu sanies EiUwaras ur. was indicted by the grand jury in Rappahannock County on charges of indecent liberties with a child by a person in a supervisory relationship. The charges stem from incidents that are alleged to have occurred while Edwards was a girl’s basketball coach at Wakefield Country Day School in Flint Hill. Edwards was already indicted on related charges by an earlier Grand Jury in July. The incidents involved two different victims and the cases will be tried separately in late October and and November. Commonwealth’s Attorney Peter Luke has elected to bring all of the charges before the circuit court, which will limit the options for an appeal. According to Luke that will spare the witnesses, who are juveniles.
“This limits the number of times my witnesses have to be put through a trial,” explained Luke.
